How It All Started
Eric Johnston and Adam Farmer presided and operated tournaments at a bass club level together for over a decade. After years of feeling as though their hands were tied to outdated bylaws and rules within the club fishing scene, Eric and Adam took two years off of operating tournaments. With much reflection and the missing of relationships with all the anglers, they got together in late 2020 and compiled all the information from that past decade. What worked? What didn’t? How can we make the greatest tournament possible with a competitive, level playing field, yet affordable tournament series?
With that No Nonsense Prairie Bass Series was born! It's a no nonsense, one page of rules, and cut and dry series located on one pool of the Mississippi River. Our first tournament was April of 2021 with 46 boats in the field and we haven’t looked back from there. Now averaging 70 boats in 2022, NNPBS continues to grow!
